126 pound Sophomore Mike Botello Takes 1st Place at the MA. Division 1 State Wrestling Tournament.

Botello will wrestle next weekend at the All State Tournament in Lowell as the #1 seed from Division 1

Junior, Heavyweight Owen Murray takes 2nd place at the tournament  and will also be wrestling at the All State Tournament
138 pound Senior, CJ Botello takes 4th place and will round out Barnstable's representation at the All State Tournament
Barnstable as a team came in 9th place out of 50 + schools..

3 of the Barnstable's 8th graders (Lou Cocozza, Jack Manoog and Vinny Ciliberto) continued their wrestling season by entering the MYWA (youth) South Sectional Tournament yesterday in Hanover.. 

Just the fact that they entered shows that the future of our wrestling program is getting stronger 

Congratulations to
Jack Manoog, 124 pound weight class and Vinny Ciliberto, 136 pound weight class.  They both finished in 5th place and qualified for the MYWA State Tournament!
Lou Cocozza went 1-2 on the day at 154 pounds but did not qualify

Due to the snow, the Sandwich Dual Meet is now rescheduled for Thursday 2/6/14 at 7pm

Wrestlers will be allowed an additional 1 pound allowance for missing todays workout..

Wrestlers will still have the option of (weighing-in) on Thursday morning. 

We will be having the team photo before the meet so all wrestlers please be at the school by 4:30pm on Thursday

THE RED RAIDERS APPROACH THE END OF THE REGULAR SEASON

Barnstable will be comfortable at home for the remainder of the regular season, beginning Wednesday vs Sandwich at 7PM, followed by a Quad Meet on Saturday Morning vs Taunton/Weymouth/Canton and ending next Wednesday vs Nauset.
